Director Profile: Lisa Ford







Lisa Ford is a Chartered Tax Adviser with 25 years experience in practice.

 

Lisa began her tax career working in Central London and New York, covering the areas of  Personal Tax, Partnership Tax, Expatriate Tax and Corporate Tax before moving on to look after the tax affairs of employees of multinationals and UK firms in the Global Employment Solutions Department at Ernst & Young.

 

Following this, Lisa extended her focus on UK personal tax and spent several years specialising in the tax affairs of individual partners and partnerships and, in particular, the tax affairs of doctors.

 

In 2006, Lisa joined the Private Client Tax Department of Menzies LLP in Kingston, Surrey, where she remained until 2011. The role involved looking after a wide variety of clients including self-employed individuals, partnerships, directors and pensioners. During this period, Lisa was also a representative on the firm's Private Client Services Committee and had responsibility for maintaining the firm's Private Client Services Manual, used across all the firm's offices.

 

Currently, Lisa lectures at colleges and universities to accountancy and tax students working towards their professional qualifications, as well as looking after the personal tax affairs of her clients.
